National Fares Survey
Every two years, we undertake a survey to identify bus ticket prices across the UK for an adult taking a single three mile journey and for ‘day’ and ‘week’ network tickets.
We gather the information with the help of bus groups and independent operators, then analyse and publish our findings by geographical area, market and operator type. Our report is used by bus companies, local authorities, government bodies and others to assist in local transport planning and as evidence of regional variations.
The TAS National Fares Survey complements and enhances other fare related projects (including modelling and elasticity, smart ticketing, multi operator schemes and concessionary fares) that we undertake for a wide range of customers.
