Our Customer

Nottingham Community Transport are a small company based in Sherwood, Nottingham.

Established in 1979, they are a registered charity and limited company, offering services within the City of Nottingham and beyond.

What we were asked

The review was prompted by the rapid expansion of NCT as it took on a range of Link Bus service using eco vehicles.

What we did

As part of a wider package of support, for this exercise we focussed on three key roles:

  • A review of governance arrangements and managerial roles

  • A policy review and the drafting of policy and procedural documents

  • Strategic development workshops for managerial staff and trustees.

    • Outcomes

    We recommended and oversaw the implantation of a range of improvements including:

  • The restructure of the charity and formation of a trading subsidiary

  • The adoption of new governance procedures and policies

  • The facilitation of a workshop to provide energy, focus and clarity for trustees, directors and managers.
