Dylan’s first few months…

Dylan started at TAS earlier this year and had a few thoughts on his induction into a world he had little to no understanding of:

Hi my name is Dylan, I recently joined TAS, starting in January this year. Since then, I have worked on many challenging projects which assist with things I had never even considered or given thought to before but that effect people all around me everyday. 

With the help of my new colleagues, I have learnt a lot about the transport industry, mostly so far I have learnt how little I actually know! 

Coming in without a transport background was interesting as I increasingly developing an awareness of an industry I have never given much thought to, and my unique perspective has also given my colleagues a fresh perspective on some thing.

I have particularly enjoyed training in various mapping and routing systems and deepening my Excel expertise, while finding an understanding of and interest in the development of and I am excited to see how it evolves over the next few years. 

Alongside my time here am working on a masters in engineering which while challenging at times has proved to be incredibly valuable, on my course I learn things I utilize at TAS and at TAS i develop skills that assist with my academics.
