Billy’s Beginning…
Billy started at TAS earlier this month and had a few thoughts regarding his first steps into this new world for him:
I started at TAS on the 12th October, 2026. Coming with no background in Transport, other than my recently completed degree in Geography, to say I was nervous was an understatement. However, upon coming into the office, meeting Sarah, Ian, Gary and other consultants, I was immediately put at ease. I was shown how the system works, what kind of work we do here, given time to read through past pieces of work and familiarise myself with ongoing projects.
Having finished my second week at TAS, I am given time to learn, my questions are answered when I ask them, and I’ve already expanded my knowledge in transport in just a few weeks through reading, completing small tasks and working alongside other consultants! I am excited to be given more responsibility, further my knowledge and get stuck in!
